History

City Hotel Nieuw Minerva was founded in 1946 from a small local pub. This pub was located in what is now the hotel's Breakfast Room. This space was home to a beer brewery until the end of the 19th century.

Over the years, the adjoining buildings have been added to the hotel, and today the hotel has 35 rooms in 6 interconnected canal houses.
The design of the hotelrooms fits in beautifully with the historical building. No need to worry: the rooms are equipped with all the modern comforts you would expect in a 3-star hotel.

In addition to the hotel rooms, there is an attractive hotel bar with a striking wall of plates.
The meeting room has a characterful authentic Delft blue fireplace, hence the name of the room: the Blue Room.
